VEL introduces new range of bike lights

VEL has extended its product portfolio with a new range of bike lights.

Now available in-store and online exclusively through Sigma Sports, the VEL AW19 lighting range consists of three front lights with 500 lumen, 300 lumen, and 100 lumen LEDs and one 20 lumen rear light.

The flagship light of the range, the 500-lumen front light, has an automatic environment response sensor providing constant output in dark environments such as at night or in tunnels and flashing output in bright environments such as during the daytime, at dawn or dusk to further enhance rider visibility.

To reduce waste, the brand has kept product packaging to a minimum and uses recycled cardboard with soy ink applications, making it 100% recyclable, it says. A range of accessories is available for all VEL lights.

VEL 500 lumen front light
“Compact and lightweight at 62 grams, this light is designed for all lengths of rides through all types of conditions, thanks to it being water-resistant to IPX4 with six output modes including day flash and an in-ride charge option from an external power bank.”

VEL 300 lumen front light
“With its lightweight alloy construction at 53 grams and five modes to choose from including day flash, this light is easy to use and waterproof to IPX5. As with the 500-lumen front light, the rubber strap fits handlebars from 18-48mm diameter and when rotated 90 degrees it can be easily helmet-mounted.”

VEL 100 lumen front light
“This 19 grams front light is exceptionally versatile as it comes equipped with a ‘quarter-turn’ quick-release handlebar bracket and velcro strap for helmet mounting, with zip ties for added bracket security.”

VEL 20 lumen rear light
“At only 18 grams, the rear light ensures you get seen thanks to its 38 COB LED wide-angle lens for improved side visibility, featuring seven different mode outputs to choose from including day flash. As with the 100-lumen front light, it comes with multi-mount options for the helmet, seat post, saddlebag or backpack and comes with an additional aero seat post bracket.”
