Rapha and Factor Bikes have announced a bike hire partnership that will see the new Ostro VAM available to members of Rapha Cycling Club (RCC), worldwide.
RCC is an active riding community for cyclists around the world. Members benefit from exclusive bike hire from Rapha’s Clubhouses, allowing riders travelling without their own bike to explore cities including Los Angeles, Taipei and Copenhagen on two wheels.
With hire bikes available soon in London, New York, Miami, San Francisco and Mallorca Rapha Clubhouses, the global roll-out of RCC-edition Factor Ostro VAM’s is about to begin.
Aleda Fitzpatrick, global RCC manager, said: “We are incredibly excited to join forces with Factor Bikes. Their passion for cycling, investment in the sport and commitment to high performance aligns perfectly with Rapha’s values.
“Our global bike hire has always been one of the most loved benefits of the RCC, and we’re delighted to partner with Factor to enable our members to explore the best cycling routes around the world, on the very best bikes.”
Factor’s creative director, Jay Gundzik, and Rapha’s creative team, worked to develop the unique RCC-edition Ostro VAM colourway, combining Rapha’s pink and black accent colours with Factor’s raw carbon fibre textures.
Completing the Ostro VAM’s set-up, the bike is also specced with the latest 48/58 wheelset from Black Inc. The aero-optimised and lightweight wheelset was developed in tandem with the new bike matching its race-optimised design.
Rob Gitelis, founder of Factor Bikes and Black Inc, added: “We’re delighted to collaborate with RCC to bring our new Ostro VAM to cyclists worldwide.
“The new Ostro VAM has been our moment to push the boundaries of carbon bicycle design and production to improve on what was already a proven winner, and we look forward to seeing RCC members around the globe discovering new cities from this iconic partnership bike.”
Factor and Rapha are set to collaborate on several special edition bikes to reflect upcoming collaborations, all of which will be available for RCC members to rent from clubhouses worldwide.”
